Pillowstack runs entirely in your browser — no accounts, no tracking, no cookies. These notes spell out what that means for your privacy, your data, and the content here.

Privacy Policy

Pillowstack’s tools run in your browser, but the site itself uses Google services — Google Analytics, Google Tag Manager, and Google AdSense — for traffic measurement and advertising. This policy explains what stays local on your device and what those services collect.

What we collect

Pillowstack has no backend of its own and never receives the content you put into a tool. The site does, however, load Google Analytics, Google Tag Manager, and Google AdSense, which collect standard usage and device information such as the pages you view, approximate location, device and browser type, and advertising identifiers.

Your input stays on your device

Every tool processes its input on your device. The JSON you paste into the formatter, the dates you enter into the calculator, and the cron expressions you build are computed locally and are never transmitted to us or to any third party.

What is stored on your device

Pillowstack persists a single browser localStorage entry named pillowstack-theme, which remembers whether you prefer the light or dark interface. It holds nothing personal and is never sent to a server. Separately, the Google services above set their own cookies (see the Cookies section below).

Third parties

The site loads three Google services: Google Analytics (measures traffic and usage), Google Tag Manager (loads and manages those tags), and Google AdSense (displays ads and, where permitted, personalises them). Their use of your data is governed by Google’s own Privacy Policy at policies.google.com/privacy, and AdSense may use cookies and advertising identifiers to serve ads. Depending on your region, you may be asked for consent before these load.

Your control

You can opt out of personalised advertising at adssettings.google.com, install the Google Analytics opt-out browser add-on, and control or block cookies through your browser settings. Clearing your browser storage for this site also removes the saved theme preference.

// cookies

Cookies

Pillowstack uses cookies and similar technologies, mainly through the Google services that power its analytics and advertising.

Do we use cookies?

Yes. The Google services we load set cookies and may read advertising identifiers to measure traffic and to serve and personalise ads. Pillowstack does not set any cookies of its own.

What cookies we use

The cookies on this site fall into the following groups. Your light or dark theme choice is stored separately in localStorage, which is not a cookie and is never sent to any server.

  • Analytics — set by Google Analytics (loaded via Google Tag Manager) to understand how the site is used.
  • Advertising — set by Google AdSense to serve and, where permitted, personalise ads.
  • pillowstack-theme (localStorage, not a cookie) — remembers your light or dark interface choice.

Managing cookies

You can block or clear cookies through your browser settings, opt out of personalised ads at adssettings.google.com, and install the Google Analytics opt-out browser add-on. Clearing site data also removes the stored theme preference, returning Pillowstack to its default dark theme.
